Ready to invest? Here's some inspiration
In previous posts we’ve read about what office branding is and why it is important for increasing productivity in the modern workplace, but knowing what to implement can be a bit more difficult. However before you freak out and decide you can’t do this, let’s go on a little tour that takes a good look at some inspirational office spaces and the graphics they currently use. In order to help in this process I have broken down the offices according to the type of surfaces branded to see how these companies have taken advantage of their blank spaces to create their ideal working environment.
Walls and pillars
Walls form one of the most abundant surface in workplaces, which naturally lend themselves to being the ideal canvas for you to brand. Walls come in a variety of shapes and sizes and this gives us a huge amount of creativity for us to play with. All walls, whether slanted, curved or stumpy have an ability to make an impact on the holistic design of a space. They may not form feature walls, but these surfaces can be used to complement the overall design.
Pillars are often overlooked as an area in which to brand, but pillars give us nice ‘framing’ in which to house designs that can carry a strong theme throughout a space. Pillars can be either face wrapped (have a design on one side) or wrapped entirely to create a unique design feature.
Windows & glass
You have to be quite unlucky to have no windows in your office and increasingly more offices are having more glass installed throughout their space; glass is cool!
Traditionally when designers in offices hear glass, they immediately think frosting, which is of course a good idea, however there are so many other options these days than just plain full frosting or strips.
Printed cut frosting or optically clear materials can create eye catching design features that can give an element of privacy while also letting natural light shine through. Colour is not a limitation and can be used across windows and glass to carry a theme beyond just walls, creating a full and unified design.
Floors
All of our floor graphics are made from specialist super adhesive vinyl that come with a non slip laminate as standard to ensure that no one has a trip or fall as a result of poor adhesion. These floor graphics can be cut into simple shape and can be used to create a stunning interior feature on the floor as well as creating useful way finding for building users.
The floor if often overlooked, but is a fantastic surface that can be branded to suit your needs. It is definitely an area worth considering.
Surfaces
Similarly to the floor, the use of graphics can claim the use surfaces such as tabletops. All of our furniture based wraps come with a protective laminate so that you are able to wipe them clean without damaging the print. The graphics can also be laminated with a clear drywipe laminate so that the design can be transformed into an interactive writable surface; pretty cool, no?
Now you have seen first hand what sorts of things are possible, you can start to formulate in your mind what you would like to include in your office-branding package. While I have highlighted some of the most popular surfaces that you can use, there are many others. The use of foam or acrylic boards, banners, pop-up banners and signage, which are all tools we have in our reach to create a space that you’ll love.
